More about Julie
I have worked professionally in education since 2005 as an instructional designer, academic and public librarian, secondary teacher, and curriculum writer. I earned a B.A. in English and Women’s Studies from Florida International University in 2005 and an M.S. in Information Studies from Florida State University in 2009.
My professional interests include accessibility and universal design in distance learning, instructor presence in online courses, and developing and evaluating skills-based assessments. I am a certified Quality Matters (QM) Peer Reviewer and Master of Online Teaching through the Illinois Online Network (ION). I have presented original work and findings at several conferences related to distance education, and have also been featured in Delta Sky Magazine.
